For the 4th edition of Basel Social Club, we are presenting two works by Ligia Dias (*1974).

MIKE (Memory Ware) 4 (2025) is made of found objects and leftovers from the artist’s own production. Tendrement (2025) – a mirror hidden beneath anodized aluminum chains, invites us to question notions of identity and reciprocity.

The artist explores the question of making and its consequences. The use of standards and found objects, as well as the appropriation of craft techniques juxtaposed with precious material, creates disruptive contrasts that challenge our reading of conventions.
